A wild Sunflower, Helianthus annuus, sprang up in my garden. This site displays the
journel I kept with a camera - the pictures show the plant, the developing flowers, the florets, and the insects
that visited the plant. The Florets are shown in their development from the smallest bud to the edible seed.
This is a member of the Asteraceae, tribe Heliantheae.
